With past supporters like TD Bank, The Nation Institute, Walter B. Melvin Architects, Friends of Hudson River Park, Rosa Mexicano, Robert A.M. Stern Architects, and more, it has to be perfect! And it's our honor to add to this roster of friends local businesses such as Pasha Restaurant, Tip Top Shoes, Ivy's Cafe, the Historic Fireboat John J. Harvey, and others.

On Sunday, September 25, 2011, the Arthur Ross Terrace at the American Museum of Natural History will be transformed into an extraordinary outdoor dining room for a four-course sit-down dinner—served family-style at one long, communal table under the stars—featuring best-quality local food prepared by the Upper West Side’s most brilliant chefs, all of whom are donating their time and talent.
Landmark Feast is being orchestrated by Outstanding in the Field, an international leader in the farm-to-table movement with a track record of coordinating unique food experiences across the country.
All proceeds from Landmark Feast support Friends of Roosevelt Park, the only group dedicated to maintaining and beautifying the green oasis surrounding the Museum of Natural History for the enjoyment of West Siders and four million annual visitors to the area and LANDMARK WEST!, the grassroots organization responsible for preserving the Upper West Side's historic character and livability for the past 25 years.

Why Landmark Feast?
Upper West Siders have always loved to eat. And, more and more, we love to eat local! Thanks to the brilliant chefs
who have made a home here among us, our plates are deliciously full of
the best ingredients from the finest farmers and food artisans in the
world, producing within arm's reach of this neighborhood.

On Sunday, September 25, 2011—just one long, hot and (please god after all this rain) bountiful summer away—Upper West Siders will gather together…at one long communal table…al fresco under the stars, in the glow of candlelight…on the Arthur Ross Terrace at the American Museum of Natural History…for a celebration of all things local. The first-ever Landmark Feast! And who among us hasn't fantasized about having dinner with our honorary event chair, Ruth Reichl?!
Landmark Feast has struck a chord with so many of us because it embodies life's essentials - beauty, quality of life, sustenance, sustainability, people, place, planet.
So, reserve your seat at the table and start thinking about the people you want to break bread and raise a glass with on September 25! Tickets are going fast...

Here's to the Feast!
On Tuesday, May 17, 2011, Upper West Siders, New York foodies and lovers of our rich architectural history gathered together in a parkside apartment--a wonderful aerie hovering over the West Side, home to nearly 2,700 of New York's most beloved landmarks, including the American Museum of Natural History and Roosevelt Park, the green oasis that surrounds the Museum--to kick-off Landmark Feast, coming this fall.

The evening's co-hosts: Friends of Roosevelt Park and LANDMARK WEST!, compatriots in the proverbial trenches, pulling in the same direction to keep the West Side the West Side that we all know and love, a job that takes persistent activism and vigilance and cannot be done alone.
Special guests included Ruth Reichl, former New York Times restaurant critic, editor of Gourmet magazine from 1999 to 2009, much-followed blogger, and honorary event chair of Landmark Feast; Chefs Bill Telepan, of Telepan Restaurant, and John Fraser, of Dovetail Restaurant, both pacesetters in the culinary revitalization of the Upper West Side; and Katy Oursler of Outstanding in the Field, all of whom have nurtured the idea of Landmark Feast from a tender shoot to a robust vine that now includes nearly 20 of the West Side's most brilliant chefs.
Also in attendance was Chef Damian Sansonetti of Bar Boulud. And while unable to attend the Landmark Feast kick-off, thanks go to Chef Michael Psilakis of Kefi and Fishtag Restaurants for generously donating the tasty bites enjoyed throughout the evening.
